But what if this weapon can’t tell its targets from innocent people? The big problem would be that these killer robots are being developed by governments that don’t care about people’s lives.
  • Loss of jobs. As AI becomes more advanced, it will take over the tasks humans used to do. A McKinsey Global Institute report states that around 800 million jobs could be lost worldwide due to automation by 2030. Robots do not have to be paid, so business owners, and companies using artificial intelligence, will reap all the benefits, widening the gap between rich and poor even further.
  • AI terrorism. Drones are already used in terrorist attacks, and autonomous vehicles can also be used to deliver and detonate bombs or create firearms that can track movement without human assistance.

Artificial intelligence has developed rapidly, and the future is looming faster than the predictions of the Minority Report, set in 2054. AI will be better than humans at translating languages ​​by 2024, selling goods by 2031, and doing operations by 2053. AI will become part of our lives, and it’s time to prepare for the AI ​​era by investing in education and training.
